In the battle for hearts and minds
subtlety often unwinds
and intellect is found to be hollow.
In popular cultural debate
the timid will seal thair fate
if they are seen to dither and wallow
in pomposity and act like poltroons
or pusillanimous loons.
Indecisiveness is hard to swallow
When decisive action is called for
be it is sport or business or war
to have faith in reason is callow.
So forget the rhetorical frolics,
when you're gripping them by the bollocks
their hearts and their minds will follow
