Blue moon rises in the West
We suffer still - yet hope for best
We vow to shed old nemesis
As New Year brings bright promises

And I within the mirror gaze
Life of late is wrapped in haze
I've plunged ten thousand meters deep
The depth of which disturbs my sleep

I recollect the moments past
Of lives and loves which did not last
Look back upon a history
A path of tragic misery

Accepting of a spirit's fate
Lessons learned communicate
A sacred heart, its message clear
Love conquers all and knows not fears

Blue moon rules the night on high
As lovers look, they swoon and sigh
And moon gives way for sun to rise
New horizons seen with different eyes

Love, like moon, has many faces
Takes one's heart to far off places
Oft like singing birds in Spring
Or Dante's hell of suffering

Love pursues for its own sake
It records not, human mistakes
Shadow moons soon fade away
To welcome in a brighter day

Life's a journey of the heart
The wax and wane create its art
It paints a lifetime on your soul
Of moons and suns which made life whole
