The Road

We enter this world given the gift of life,

treading a pathway constructed by the Lord.

Some roads are winding, beset by strife,

others are triumphant, abundant with reward.

Some generations live a dream of tranquility,

the next one may know the pain of war.

Some are born into the height of nobility,

others bear little from their father's before.

Some experience the cheer of many voices,

others pass quietly into shadows of night.

Some men hasten to regret their choices,

others spead greatness of strength and light.

Is the journey but a blinking of an eye,

a tiny, thin line on the infinite spectrum?

Can we just slip away without knowing why?

It seems the answer lies within God's kingdom.

Great job! Message could not be more important, and you have
used rhythm and other poetic elements to make it ring clear.
