The Coon Dog Cemetery is a real place. It is located in Northwest Alabama.

Coon Dog Cemetery

I went to see
the coon dog cemetery.
It was way out in the woods,
when I started to leave
I looked back and
saw a dog
standing by the gate.
It was getting late.
I’ve always wondered if it
was  real or a canine spirit
standing there.
