Late Blooming

Who says Spring is the best season?

Late Blooming

Looking back,
I wish I’d learned to
Tie my shoes when
Everyone else did.

If only I learned
How to ride a bike
A lot sooner
Than I did.

Why couldn’t I
Learn to swim
Instead of being
Afraid of water?

While other flowers
Came out in April,
I didn’t bloom until
September.

Which means that
While others’ leaves
Have turned brown,
Mine still look good.

Imagine that…
