Another Blue Morning

Blue isn't always bad.

Another Blue Morning

The sunlight hits my eyes
Just before the alarm rings;
As I see the blank screen
On my computer,
I can tell that once again,
It’s another blue morning.

I shag my self downstairs
And flip on the bathroom lights;
Watching the water spill
Into a sink full of turquoise toothpaste,
I see that courtesy of my kids,
It’s another blue morning.

Once my scrub-a-dub’s done,
I wake up my sweetie pie
With hugs and kisses;
The puppy wants some loving, too,
So he washes my face
With a tongue that reminds me that
It’s another blue morning.

Out the door I go
After connecting with the boys;
It’s the same ol’, same ol’
From the house to the job,
But I gaze into the morning sky
And smile because
It’s another blue morning of blessings.

You are right Robert. "Blue" is beautiful. Actually, I have written a poem which is posted here at AD called, "Blue Song." Your poem awakens sentiments within. Nicely done. Thank you. Love and peace to you,

Robert,
I enjoyed this write. Sometimes 'blue' mornings are the best. Your poem has alot of meaning for me. You teach me not to take life for granted. It's the same ol' same ol', BUT its a good life with blessings that not everyone has. EXCELLENT write!

Many blessings,
~Linda
