Soap Bubbles
If you were my favorite toy,
You would be soap bubbles
Floating in the morning sky,
Carrying me serenely along.
I smile just watching you,
Rainbows flashing every hue
Within the perfection found
In the sphere of your love.
It’s especially a wonder
Feeling you pop on my cheeks,
Gentle kisses that fill me with
Love for our fleeting moments and
Longing to stir you into more of them.
Let others have teddy bears and
Frilly dolls to hold and get bored with;
I’ll never tire of my days spent with
Soap bubbles.
