A poem of the afterlife
--------------------------------------

Will we sit

around and talk

about the good old days--

when we wished

we were dead.

Or lie under

a perennially leering sun

resting on a bank

of amorphous clouds

sharing an eternal holiday

with a gathering of

long-lost relatives

in a circled array

for what you do in this life

you must pay.
