Today...A New Beginning

Some days i awaken and
jewels have lost there sparkle
as gold has lost it's luster
My future not so bright

Tumoil surrounds my soul
Nothing seems eloquent
A grey day covers my eyes
Saturated with whispering tears

Longing for sweet happiness
Tears fade away into the sunset
Yearning of laughter fills my heart
A passion screaming to reach out

Somewhere, someday, survival
controls my being, my purpose
to live and grow always enduring
Absolution blowing in the wind

Like a butterfly floating on air
Nothing holding back it's array of
beautiful colors with a constant
flutter of it's magnificent broad wings

Living in shadows no more
Complete happiness pervading my soul
A positive aura surrounds me
I am a survivor, I will survive

Sad day's of old, gone and buried
Reaching out for what is mine
I deserve to be happy, and
happy i shall be

Today...A New Beginning

very touching poetic expression Michael, I always say happiness is a choice, one hard to keep but once we make up our mind, this will be our main focus, focus pocus, pocus focus, hocus pocus

A caprichous absolution blowing in the wind, so we can scream from happiness and burn with passion, a survivor will survive to start every day everything all over again!
This poem gives hope.
