1st man I ever loved by Lady GoldStar Thursday, September 07, 2006 Rated "G" by the Author. Share Print Save Become a Fan I wrote this poem hours after my father had died. I sat in my bedroom alone, broken, but not yet ready to cry, I saw him when I closed my eyes and realized, just how much I loved him. He was just a man, that made many mistakes in life, but he was my father and I love him and it hurt. Now when I read this poem, I am reminded of where he rest and waits for me.~lady goldstar

My Father, the 1st man I ever loved. Today on August 23, 2006 your stay here came to and end At 10:23 a.m., you came to peace and I knew at that moment your love would never ceases. The 1st man in my life, you taught me much, about all of life's strife, full of joys, sorrows and the heart breaks of tomorrows. You showed me how to endure the storm and to look to the LORD for our hearts to be warmed. When life is hard and it gets cold, you are a fighter, whom weathered the storms, not on your own accord, but by HIS mercy and grace, you have taken your rightful place. Amongst the stars in heaven and in the company of angels, You are finally free, free, free! You my Father the 1st man I ever loved...
