I first saw Can-Can on Broadway with the original cast, including Gwen Verdon and Lilo (whew!). Saw a revival recently in which we were asked to make up our own lyrics. Here are mine.

CAN-CAN LYRICS

If a flip co-median can,

If a hip o-lympian can,

If Bardot and Monroe and Diane can,

Baby, you can can-can too.

If a crazy Taliban can,

If a lazy, paunchy man can,

If a tired soccer mom in a van can,

Baby, you can can-can too.

If a blue-nosed Puritan can,

If a blue-hosed Dodger fan can,

If a proud samurai from Japan can,

Baby, you can can-can too.
