. . . years later, I still lick my lips . . .
|
Painting by L. K. Craft I Still Lick My Lips . . . Be assured that my tears still fall When my soul is stirred. I am emotional, sensitive and drenched in you.My laughter still comes When my imperfections are showcased by my limitations. Thanks for accepting my humanism with a smile.I'll always be that oversensitive me, Gasping at the sight of others embracing, Especially when a child sees their mother . I love to celebrate the joy of others.Uniquely lost in a void while looking into your eyes, Moment later, captured by the warmth left while making the bed. I continue to smile from the kiss goodbye, And the anticipation of seeing you at the end of the day. Thanks for listening and inquiring About my rather strange take on life. I have always wanted to be your mystery to solve. I need you fully alive with me in this experience called life.I have never wanted to be a discovered moment, But rather a never ending, unfolding gift of surprises. I am far from simple and somewhat complex, Assuredly, I am like a never ending, non-concluded book I am fully captured by you and full of gratitude, Especially after all these years and life experiences. I still lick my lips. Copyright 2006 L.K. Craft

This is a beautiful and most touching love poem, delicately sensual, and from the very soul. A rare pleasure it is to read a new way of saying "I love you". Excellent.

| Love the title -- my favorite phrase -- "drenched in you" -- brought up such an amazing image of adoration. Enjoyed this. |
