You wake up at the dawning
On the wings of the rememberance of a butterfly.
And there you spy
The fragrance of the morning flowers
Openings their petals
To the warmth of the rising sun
Colours igniting the sky
When they comes to full bloom
In you’ll float quickly
And then you’ll dart and zoom
Because only for one, is there room.
There’s other’s out trying to get to the nectar first
Yet you love that first virgin thirst
You’ll savor every drop
Till that bumble bee barges in to make you stop
You’ll just float away
It’s just the start of a new day
You’re out early enough
There’s plenty others around
More than enough
This time of the morning
Nothing to rough.
The bluebirds are pulling out the worms
The refuge has brought out the germs
That bring in the flies.
And the toads and frogs get their full.
The night creatures tuck away
It’s the start of a new day.

You wake up at the dawning
On the wings of a butterfly
And there you spy
The fragrance of the morning flowers
Openings it’s petals
To the warmth of the sun
Igniting the sky.
Her memories grow stronger
You pray and wonder
You sense it won’t be much longer
Life is a vapor
And soon before you know it – you’ll see her. . . . .
Chasing those morning butterflies.
Early, she did always like to rise.
