E x a c t l y !!:) Romantic gestures are all well and good, but
they have been known to backfire. I love the whole flowers&candy&dinner thing [?why I am fatter than I was Feb.13?;), but to hear "I love your face" or "There is nowhere I would rather be" or be brought coffee in bed on a run-of-the-mill day is to me the very essence of romance. Great use of rhyme, by the way. Love the simplicity and conciseness of the piece. Late, but Happy Valentine's Day!! You have been so kind and generous. L o v i n g. Forever, and Then, Pea |

AMEN! There is nothing that says "I love you" more than pure sentiment expressed in a look or a touch.

| The flowers and candy are nice (especially if it's chocolate, yum), but the true gift is the look in the eyes of the one you love, the way they touch you, hold you, the way their soul can speak to yours...even in silence. A beautiful reminder, Liz. Hugs, Elizabeth |

Liz you nailed this one so right, when love is there...passion flows like sparks of electricity in the air and cards, flowers, candy or dinners out can;t take the place of a hot passionate kiss and roaming fingers on naked skin.

So true, Liz. My hubby and I don't usually celebrate the holiday. But today, he surprised me with a box of candy. The fact that we usually ignore the day made that box seem extra special. Love and Hugs to you:)

It's true! I agree. The Valentine's Day, like any other festive day, is now made commercialized. The true meaning of being in love with one another seem to weigh heavily on the gifts.
