I see this as the description
of being trapped in one's mind.
In a way, we are all prisoners
of our mind.

Great poem Liz. I believe we are all just a shade away from insanity. Not all of us receive the trigger that sends us over the brink. There's a history of depression and emotional problems in my Dad's side of the family, so I found your words to be very profound.

Do I ever know the feeling!! Shouldn't waste precious time on regrets, but reality does love to lurk, doesn't it. My brain, too,
becomes "tricked and murky." Hard to write autobiography because
memories do not stay in sequence. . .especially bad ones. Anywaaaaay, thank you for writing and sharing this. May the memories you will have of today, and all future days, be in the main happy ones. And go easy on yourself! Lovin' Hugs, 'Pea' |

| traumatised pasts can steal our living moments of the now, seeming to keep us bound when the memory of them recurs. But now IS actually all we have, however much we may worry and anticipate the future or ruminate on what has been. The continuous present seems an impossible pinnacle to inhabit and cling to at times, but I think it is a most freeing place if we can learn to transform it moment by moment into the plateau of our on-going experience. Many can relate to shades of your feelings expressed here, Liz, to a greater or lesser degree. I am glad that you are in a good place right now and long may it continue! Wherever you are and whenever, there is most certainly One who will weather it with you... Kate xx |

I have heard much about pain and suffering this Holy Week.
It is normal for Christians to go through pain and suffering.
We are blessed in the mist of all the stress.
Prayers go upand the blessings come down.
