Surving Rejection #3064...
Such easy ecstasy, such self-enlarging
Skill. The words came back,
“Not yet—but do send more,
Some time.”
Castles went up, an empire rose
From the ruins—
My brilliance is only in abeyance,
Will be unveiled
Some time—
It says so
In the letter
On my desk,
The one lost
Among all the other
Letters on my desk.

| Hi Leslie, I read your poem,"Surviving Rejection#3064" I found it put a humorous light on the subject of 'rejection' that is;when a writer gets a rejection letter. I've had my share of rejection slips. This is is perhaps why my books to date have been published by POD publishers. I looked for a book agent for two years with no positive result.
