Baby's Turning Forty!

A man worries over the changes in his lover's life.

Baby’s Turning Forty!

Lordy, lordy, lordy, Baby’s turning forty.
What’s the world a coming to?
She’s getting so much bolder,
Since she’s getting older,
Dropping all the old taboos.
Thinks she’s such a sweetie,
Helping all the needy, Fellows on the avenue.
Lordy, lordy, lordy, Baby's turning forty,
What's the world a coming to?

Lordy, lordy, lordy, Baby’s getting naughty.
Doing things she shouldn’t do.
I thought I was her feller, But she won’t let me sell her,
On settling down and being true .
Baby wants a good time, That’s the reason that I’m
Walking ‘round and feeling blue.
Lordy, lordy, Baby's turning forty
What's the world a coming to?

Lordy, lordy, lordy, Baby’s getting bawdy.
Starting to embarrass me.
Wearing sexy dresses,
Giving out caresses, For all the world to plainly see.
She’s the star attraction,
Gets here satisfaction,
Having fun and being free.
Lordy, lordy lordy, Baby’s turning forty.
What’s the world a coming to? Copyright, Henry Lamar Hunt

Dear Lamar,

Give her freedom to express herself at this obviously insecure time and reassure her that she is beautiful, sexy and appealing to you and she will get through this time and return to you in appreciation. It is obvious that she is only looking for affirmation because she is afraid that she is getting old.

You handled this sensitive topic with wit. Nnow pray she doesn't read it ;-)
