A brief respite from the chaos of the city
|
'Twas a crisp winter's afternoon,
I took flight
from a city's hostility.
Each bend of the road
gave way to a kingdom
of beauty.
A lingering waft of pinons
beckoned me deeper still
into the wilderness.
Sparkling through gold
and crimson hues, an icy
waterfall tumbled down a
rugged spire.
With its rainbow's promise,
my soul soared, recaptured
by nature's beauty.
