Brick Walls

Daily life finds you with
goal in mind, purpose of intent, on the pursuit,
trudging ahead, determined, relentless,
suddenly... a brick wall.
What to do? Go back? Give up?
No! Never! Climb over it,
tunnel under it,
find a way around it.
At last resort
knock the damn thing down
destroying it forever,
so that it's nothing more than
bits and pieces of rubble,
that will decompose
becoming merely part of
all that there is.
Don't look back,
dust yourself off,
walk past it,
and onward go.
