Gossamer Threads

Captivated yet teetering
held by gossamer threads of promise
sporadically reeled back into safety
precarious balance claiming self
as uncertainty threatens to sever
the need to return escalating
while symmetry remains illusive
as the master puppeteer
manipulates the bond
that tethers his pupil.

 Illumination breaks through
the coquetted toy hesitates
breaks the thread that binds
and flies free and windswept
far above the ceiling of illusion
now granted metamorphosis
sensibility is reclaimed
reaching toward tomorrow's wonder
melded into the comfort of truth
lovingly reclaimed by reality's light
she triumphantly journeys onward.

Lines as finely woven as the subject of the title and as soulfully illuminated as a revelation at dawn.

Much gratitude,

I love the way you work the images in this one -- holding the puppet-master in control until the puppet rules :-)

Like one of those tales from Arabian Nights, when the harem captive would fly over the seraglio wall to freedom...
Captivating.
