A Prayer

With Oprah decrying and rejecting christianity, and gathering a following of thousands, those of us who believe in Christianity need to spread our faith wherever we can.

Heavenly Father,
I come before you
Clothed in the spirit
Of who I am

Your child.

I pray for forgiveness
Of my sins
I pray for strength and fortitude
To be my best at all I attempt
In the name of goodness and decency.

I ask you to bless
Those family and friends I love
And bless those in need of your goodness and mercy,
And create a path of righteousness
For your children to follow.

I pray you will guide us
Especially when we are tempted
To stray from the path of worthy purpose
And keep us morally responsible.

In all things that are decent and good
We pray for your leadership
And help.

Amen

A good prayer for everyone to recite. We need God's leadership and also his help in our lives. This prayer says lots of the way it should be when we pray to God our Father in Heaven above.

This is very beautiful! I've always believed that people with a lot of influence should be extra careful of what they say and do. This is an excellent counter to a sad situation, but it's also a powerful prayer for each day.

Amen. This is a beautiful prayer, Jeanette, though it is sad that we must defend Christianity and its teachings.

Thank you for sharing this piece of inspiration.

In Jesus' Name, Amen. Powerfully penned sadness - prayer can change things, if only we'll do it. Well penned, Jeanette.
