Joyce,
This is a thought provoking poem! Everyone's would be different, I'm sure. You make me think about the possessions I cherish that perhaps no one will when I'm gone. That saying comes to mind about one man's treasure being another's trash. What I like best about this piece is how you capture the important things left, like memories and love. Nicely done!

I actually pondered a lot on this one, Joyce. While it is so true that all of the above might be left behind by anyone who's done with this journey called life, I'd rather leave something that isn't tangible, this special feeling in my heart that I am willing to impart, to open my hand in friendship honestly and unreservedly, and the hope that I maybe remembered not by success or riches but by my significance to my friends and loved ones. This is a meaningful piece. And yes, thought provoking.
Be blessed my friend,
Sheri |

| Thought provoking and awesome. I hope I leave some dreams incomplete because I hope I keep dreaming all my life, right up to the end. I hope I leave a few dishes unwashed because I hope I don't waste what time I have left worrying over every little thing. What will my friends think? I don't know but I'm not too worried about it because my true friends will miss me and those other "friends" well, they don't matter much now, why would I worry about when I am gone? This self serving review was rationalized by the reviewer to a wonderful poem, written with warmth and thouhtfulness as always from one of the golden hearted people in the world. Liz |

These past few weeks,I've been "trying" to encourage "CHANGE" and new growth for anyone around me too, I asked Paul "when you son is over, will you NOT smoke outside with him, and he is really trying, going outside in the back or downstairs.I would rather his son smoke alone, #1. he smokes more than Paul (Paul only 5-6 a day or so) and his son a few more... and being a good role-model I keep reminding him! a few other changes too, that are important to me, it's the New Year coming into View! Love this poem!Makes one think HARD! which we should, why be the same! |

Joyce, what an inspiration you are. I read your blog almost every day, at least every time I go online. I love to hear about your life in the hills of Kentucky, your love of the Lord, your ups and downs. But, you always get out of it through people you know. I have been enjoying your writing very much.
Thank you for writing your blog, and poems of course.
