Who am I?
Am I really who I am?
If I'm not really me,
then who am I?
Who are you?
Are you really you?
If you're not really you
and I'm not really me
then who the hell are we?
Is this all a game,
Or is this all for real?
Who am I to know
Exactly what to feel?
I think therefore I am,
The philosopher spoke.
Was that a real thought,
or was it just a joke?

while there is a humorous undercurrent to this, it also is rather deep...the question of reality has been a universal one...some say the answer is in faith in its many guises...but even faith is subject to unreality. This is a good, philosophical, thought provoking piece.

Brett,
This seems to be a collective contemplative at the moment. A strong desire to know. I'm presently reading: The Disappearance of the Universe by Gary Renard. Quite a different take on the whole pudding, and insightful. Your poem ... timely and full of spark!
