I Believe

A poem written about meeting someone special,
and then wanting to take the time,
to get to know that person, a little better. |

I believe in candlelit dinners,
A fireplace, a bottle of nice wine,
I believe in new friendships
That can last a very long time,
Quiet walks, long talks,
Wishing on a star,
Knowing from within
Exactly who you are,
I believe in Santa Claus,
And the fairy tales of my youth,
My favorite tv shows are,
"Days Of Our Lives," "And To Tell The Truth,"
I like the glitz of Hollywood
Even though that's not my style,
But what I'd really like most of all
Is meeting you in person
And chatting for awhile ...

| This poem should touch the heart and emotions of romantic readers (and aren't they all?)because of its gentle tone of wistfulness, its simple, effective imagery couched in evocative language just right for the theme. I liked and enjoyed it very much. Good to see you posting again, Victoria. |
