A Prayer for Repentance
 

We live in a world where the prevailing winds of secularism and progressive teachings dominate our culture.  There is a great evil within this nation, which stems from the fruits of socialistic and dictatorship policies – as the freedoms of our citizens are further suppressed under the guise of “hate crimes” and “civil liberties”.  The fundamental principles of the 14^th Amendment, which guarantees equal protection under the law is on the verge of collapse as rouge judges and politicians skirt their responsibilities by compromising the very laws that ensure balance and legal consistency within our nation.
 

Our country and culture is slipping steadily into the pit of immorality, sexual deviancy, corruption, indifference, vanity, and deception. Our very education system is now becoming the conduit of promoting immorality at tax payer’s expense to children as young as kindergarten.  Furthermore, any moral objection to these secular forces is ridiculed as being non-mainstream by the elitist who care more for their political party than the people they serve.   The word of God is clear…
 

Proverbs 17:15
He who justifies the wicked and he who condemns the righteous are both an abomination [exceedingly disgusting and hateful] to the Lord.

Philippians 3:17-20:
 

    Join with others in following my example [Apostle Paul], brothers, and take note of those who live according to the pattern we gave you. For, as I have often told you before and now say again even with tears, many live as enemies of the cross of Christ. Their destiny is destruction, their god is their stomach, and their glory is in their shame.

 

It is time to turn towards God as a nation instead of throwing Him out of every aspect of our lives. This message needs to resonate throughout this nation.  It is time for the faithful to put God back within our society instead of continuing with our betrayal.
 

1947 - We threw God out of our Government:  "Separation of Church and State Ruling"
 

1962 - We threw God out of our Schools
 

1963 - We banned the Bible from our Schools
 

1970 - The Ten Commandment was ruled "Unconstitutional"
 

1973 - We legalized abortion and have contributed to over 46M deaths since this ruling in the US alone!
 

2002 – Homosexual Marriage is Legalized in Massachusetts

 

Leviticus 18:28
 

And if you defile the land, it will vomit you out as it vomited out the nations that were before you.
 

We are seeing first hand judgments being exacted against this nation, which will only increase in severity over time. The faithful need to unite as a powerful coalition to stop this tide of secularism, perversion, and pre-born genocide that is only “heaping Sin upon Sin” within this nation as we move rapidly down the wide path to our own judgment and destruction.  Consider this carefully:

 

Job 36   
 

⁸ But if men are bound in chains (SIN),
       held fast by cords of affliction, 
 

    ⁹ he tells them what they have done—
       that they have sinned arrogantly. 
 

    ¹⁰ He makes them listen to correction
       and commands them to repent of their evil.

    ¹¹ If they obey and serve him,
       they will spend the rest of their days in prosperity
       and their years in contentment.

    ¹² But if they do not listen,
       they will perish by the sword
       and die without knowledge.

    ¹³ "The godless in heart harbor resentment;
       even when he fetters them, they do not cry for help.

    ¹⁴ They die in their youth,
       among male prostitutes of the shrines [secularism, progressive ideologies, idolatry].

 

A Prayer for Repentance and Renewal:

 

Dear Father in Heaven,
 

I beseech You to have mercy on this nation and our people for we have truly betrayed You!  We have embraced the idols and lies of individualism, secularism, perversion and pride, while denying our children access to You from within every venue of our society.  Our leadership is corrupt and self –serving; denying our children their rights to connect with their God, while brainwashing our children, the children You love, into believing lifestyles that will only reap future rewards wrath and damnation.
 

The majority of churches within this nation have abandoned Your principles of truth by embracing the very teaching which You have declared as being an abomination!  The Enemy has infiltrated our ranks, while the faithful sit idly by in perplexed confusion and indifference.
 

Lord, you have mentioned in Your Word  that “Light will Chase out Darkness”, yet many within this nation have placed the light of Your truth under a basket, while labeling themselves as Christians in title only.  You have called the faithful to be Disciples of Christ and NOT Christians!  Yet, many who proclaim Your allegiance are useless, dried up, and ineffective.  As a result, many are ones who are on the “Wide Road that leads to Destruction”; mindlessly marching forward on the path that leads to their own judgment.
 

Yes Lord, You are a God of unfailing Love and Mercy.  However, You are also a God of righteous Judgment who is to be feared and greatly respected.  You are not a God, who will tolerate great wickedness and immorality forever.
 

Dear Father, I cry out to You for this rebellious nation!  Please intervene!  I beg you to pour out Your Spirit unto the faithful to embolden them to action!  I pray that You would turn the tide of wickedness within this nation before it is too late.  Please dear Father, Glorify Your Son Jesus!   As the wicked proclaim, “Where is your GOD” as they obstinately mock You, reveal Yourself in such a powerful manner to show them that You are the God of the Universe – and there is NO other besides You!   Reveal Your truth in a manner that the people of this nation will mourn and repent of their evil ways. 

 

I beg you to Restore this nation to Your divine mercy and reconciliation.
 

This I ask in Jesus’ Name, AMEN.
