1 Samuel 8:6-7
But when they [the people] said, "Give us a king to lead us," this displeased Samuel; so he prayed to the Lord. And the Lord told him: "Listen to all that the people are saying to you; it is not you they have rejected, but they have rejected me as their king.

Electing Godly Candidates??
Christians also must not be conformed to the world in politics. The politics of the world are entirely dishonest. The policy of every party is to cover up the defects of their own candidate and the good qualities of the opposing candidate. Isn’t this dishonest? Every party holds up its candidate as a piece of perfection and then aims to ride him into office by any means, fair or foul. No man who is committed to a party, and is willing to go along with them in everything, can be entirely honest. Can a Christian do this and keep a clear conscience?
By conforming to the world in politics, Christians are guilty of setting up rulers over them (by their own vote) who do not fear or love God and who defy the LAW of GOD. [Some are guilty of adultery, murderers of the unborn, thieves, blasphemous, and worshipers of idols (themselves or their party)] -emphasis mine…
…And, Christians put them into office!! Where parties are divided, as they are in this country, there are enough Christians to tip the scale in any election.
By following the present course of politics, YOU are helping to undermine all government and order in this land. This great nation staggers and reels because the laws are broken and trampled underfoot, and the executive power refused to act. Either politicians don’t want to put down disorder, or they compromise and let the Devil rule. This is true in ALL parts of the country and in ALL parties. Can a Christian be consistent with his profession of faith and still vote for men like this? What greater stumbling block can we place before sinners?
No wonder the world has a hard time believing professing Christians. I myself often doubt whether many of them believe the Bible. They show, as far as evidence goes, that they had no change of heart.
What is Christianity? Is it going to the Communion table once a month and sometimes to a prayer meeting? Is that a change of heart? The world would be foolish to believe in a change of heart on such evidence.
If Christians acted perfectly conscientious and consistent in this matter, they would say, “We will NOT VOTE for ANY MAN unless he fears God and will rule the people in righteousness”. Then ungodly men wouldn’t nominate candidates who set themselves against the law. Every candidate would be obligated to show that he is prepared to act from higher motives. Then he would strive to make the country prosperous, promote virtue, and put down vice, oppression, and disorder.
Dear Father in Heaven,
I pray in the name of your beloved son Jesus, by the authority of your Word, and by honor of your throne that every man, women within this nation would see sin as through your eyes. I beseech you to cut through the darkness of this land by the light of your truth. Your Word is a consuming FIRE! Consume the hay and stubble within our cold hearts and reveal your truth unto repentance. If this nation does not repent, we will all be destroy, infiltrated by our enemies, divided within ourselves, and dispersed as a people.
I pray that you would send forth the Holy Spirit as you did in the beginning to speak order within the chaos of this dark period in our nation’s history. I plead with you on behalf of our nation that is blinded to sin. Your hand of judgment is raised to strike us according to your righteous judgment, but we are oblivious to this reality and DO NOT SEE IT!
Jesus, have mercy on us! Deliver us from our own deception. The leaders within many of our churches have betrayed you as Judas did with Jesus. Instead of 30 pieces of silver, they have betrayed your Word out of fear of the IRS and for the sake of church membership! What an abomination!!
Hell is not hot enough for those false prophets that sacrifice their flock to the wolves of sensuality, pride, secularism, sexual deviancy, and IDOLOTRY! If they do not repent, raise prophets from the rocks to speak the unbridled truth of your Word and on your behalf ! Expose these false teachers! Honor your son! Your great commission and command was to go out and make Disciples NOT Christians! We are to deny ourselves! We are to put on Jesus! We are to bear Good Fruit worthy of your Kingdom, not to satisfy our worldly pleasures!
Yet, many who claim their faith in you are traitors to your calling; loving of their sin; lovers of the world; enemies of God.
God Help us Lord Jesus! Convict our hearts! Renew our Heart to Obedience and Holiness! Save us Lord Jesus! Else we perish as your enemies who serve other gods rejoice in our fall…
This I ask in Jesus's Holy Name. Amen.
