Imagine
No body to defend
Nothing to offend
Love without end.
Imagine
No need to eat
No cause for greed
No cars, no houses, no phones.
Imagine
No hurt, nothing to alert
No wars, no fear, no disease
Everywhere at once it seems.
Imagine
No me, no you
No trees, no animals
No births, no death.
Imagine
No separation for us to see
No beginning to reach an end
Peace.
Imagine
Nothing to defend
No body to offend
Love without end.
Imagine

ahhh imagine that which cannot be
for life has thorns that are imposed
a prick upon the souls supposed to be free
imagine life as worry free, a life as boring as can be
and yet we seek none that is worry free! Sandi

This inspirational write cannot help but remind the reader of John Lennon's "Imagine." I love your poem, Tom. Thank you for sharing this gift. Love and peace to you,

I really like this poem, Tom! I can almost imagine the love and peacefullness. However, I'm having trouble with the third stanza lol!
"No me, no you
No trees, no animals
No births, no death."
Can't even vaguely imagine this scenario. Wow! That's somethin to think about. |

Tom,
the clarity and spareness of expression heighten the impact and make each line tell. I like how you deliver this fine theme.
