He surrounded me in the dark cape of
midnight placing his stars in my eyes
undoing my sight He wrapped me in his arms
of golden galaxies explaining to me his might

Vagrant vines encircled each other as  the Owl
hooted in soulful tones the creatures of the night
were out in full regalia stretching their bones

The wolves bayed in harmony under a dazzling
full moon,  the seductive assemblage
of the wild sang an exotic tune

With the music of nightwinds playing
through the trees, he caressed me as
in passions embrace  we lay under
a canopy of  cosmic candlelight

We took flight!
Oh what a night!

Eileen, everything you write
makes the night take flight.

Eileen, this pleased my fancy and stirred my imagination. There is poetic beauty in your presentation and vivid descriptions of cosmic wonder. Your veil, a "canopy of cosmic candlelight" is rich with the romantic. I bid you love and peace my dear friend. Jon Michael

This one seems special, more so than some, and I don't know why. I DO know you know how to end a poem . . . "We took flight! / Oh what a night!" Gotta love it!
