On the Eve of Earl

Look at those fools,
Daring to tempt
The fury of Earl,
Running into
The tempest waters
With nary a guard
In sight,
Determined
To ride
The monster wave
Or otherwise show their disdain
For the power of nature
At her fiercest.
Once, when I was young,
I witnessed
The same brand
Of wanton stupidity
When in the face
Of an expected tsunami
Those who believed themselves
Immortal
Ran with their cameras
Down to the shore.
The tsunami never came,
But I doubt Earl
Will be so forgiving.

What a wise and flowing poem~
Here comes Earl in this direction now...
I have not been keeping up with the weather news today, and I think I'll go check on Earl! Yikes!
Blessings,
Christine

Oh boy, I pray for everyone in who path Earl will cross. Been through a few and it can certainly test one's faith in God...

Be always safe,
Karen
