My Master’s Wishes

That darned cat has a mind of her own.

George watches me like a hawk
And hollers at me a lot of the time
I try to do my very best to please him;
Let me do something wrong and he squawks.

Like yesterday I was playing with my mouse
And it went under the bookcase
So he dug it out for me with a ruler I bit
I thought he was going to chase me all over the house.

He watches me when I pee and poop
I don’t have privacy as a cat my age
Should have for herself
If I meow too loud he may put me in a coop.

Most times he’s really good to me
And lets me have my way
As if I own the house.
And I do sorta feel free.

I sleep almost all day long
While he works on his computer
Doing who knows what.
At night he pets me and I purr a song

That tells him right before he goes to sleep
That I love him and what he gives me
To make me happy and feel fancy free
I guess he’s a master that I’ll keep.

Better you have a cat thats kinda small,
Than a hairy old mutt that stands kinda tall,
I am his master as that is what he does of me call...Rufuz (& ed)

Mandy, didn't Barry Manilow sing a song about you?...Just ask George how he'd like his life centered around a litter box, that'd fix him....ooops, no pun intneded.

Peace,
Dan

This is so cute and so very true too! Same here, my kitties rule and I jump when requessted. I sit to work on my puzzle, I need to drag two chairs. I sit a my computer, a second chair at my side. One likes to sleep on the mouse pad, so had to by another, one for her and one for me and so it goes! Enjoyed this very much.....

Be safe,
Karen

I love this poem, but who is master and who is servant? I have two adults and five baby creatures at my house now, I have a lot of bosses!
