Rain Falls

We need the cleansing received by rain. Always wondered why there was a rainbow afterwards when it rained again the next day.

God sends us rain when we need it the most;

It comes to renew us and wash away sins.

We have a great chance to heed when it falls

For we know not when it comes again.

The forecasters tell us we’ll have a downpour;

That’s all the better to rush away Satan

And keep him at bay.

But those who are stubborn will not oblige

The rain when it comes

And take full advantage of God’s offer of love….but

God sends us rain when we need it the most.

George I've always thought of rain as God's way of letting us know we are drifting and to remind us it is never too late to turn back. Thank you for a beautiful write.

I think the phrase "God's tears" could fit sometimes.

He sent it once to wipe out all the sinners and afterward he placed His rainbow in the sky to remind us that he would not again wipe out the earth by water.

Rain is always God's blessing, but it could be used as a reminder of our erring ways. Victor
