High upon Megiddo’s hill The priests and sages stand Armed with erudition's lance Await the signal hand
From land and sea the dragons soar Red eyes and nostrils flair The portents swallowed in the fray Reality… the snare
Tiny humans gasp with awe And fall on knees, aghast Silence, in Celestial realms Have left the first to last
Destruction lay beneath the mount The land lay burned and bleak With gaping mouth, the dragons breath Devoured naïve and weak
Sage and scholar, mystic mage Kings and Queens of nous Reported of the agency That let the demons loose
Not bound by mere convention A Priestess heralds “Strike” The sounds of OHM in one accord Like arrows, o’er the pike
The dragons writhe in deafened pain Their scales green as mold As Michael, with his mighty sword Raze the beasts of old
Weeping heard from heavens hall As more beasts soon appear The human host, now stunned to calm Shocked in mortal fear
The newer beasts, with scales of red And eyes ablaze, they came Though much alike in form and fight The two were not the same
All the while the chanting lasts Gabriel blows his horn The bloody battle lingers on While man, onsundran’s torn
Amid the smoke and brimstone The bells from Angels ring “Holy, Holy, Holy” The Seraphim dragons sing
Wise men, mage and priestess Bring forth the Holy Grail The Blood of Christ, incarnate Human, light and frail
The vessel of the holy bloodline Awaits the grooms return Though pillaged ramparts lay in ruin T’was all revealed to learn
It will not be this simple A tale in brief report But lasts an eon space of time As the scriptures do exhort
T’is up to each to take up arms In fashioned form that’s wise To recognize the grains of truth That are scattered ’neath the lies
Ignorance shall not, therefore, be bliss When Armageddon reigns It only breeds destruction’s brood On Megiddo’s dusty plains
Know the distinction between the casts From those who fell from Grace For it is simpler to exist in the linear world Than to be familiar with evil’s face

Outstanding composition of poetic grand in "Angels Of Armageddon" -- stimulates deep ontological and teleological thoughts.
I have enjoyed the rhythm, the flow of the strophes and the subjects dealt in this magnificent poem titled, "Angels Of Armageddon".
In gratitude and reverent admiration,

My husband liked this one as he is named Michael (so of course, his favorite angel is the Archangel Michael). The fact that Michael is a warrior angel is another point in his favor. LOL.
However, besides these non essential facts ;), this poem is rich in color and vividly visual. Great job!!! ;) Silver |

| Oh, boy, do you ever have some heavy s**t goint down within this work. I like the "olde" style of writing, although I myself have no talent for it. |
