What if your phone rang
And it was God who made the call
Would you recognise His number?
Would you answer it at all?
What if His message, voicemailed
Was left and un-redialed
Do you think that, as a Father
He'd be hurt by His own child?
Would you pause there in your moment
Re-think to call Him back?
Would you fear He might not answer
For that courtesy you lack?
If God had made the phone call
And you deigned to answer, not
Think of all the blessings missed
Perhaps, you've often sought
We are called on, every moment
And challenged everyday
But by answering that calling
He speaks of love, while on our way
So, if the phone rings, yet, tomorrow
And it's God, who's on the line
Answer it full hearted
And He'll speak to you in kind
