My Friends please forgive my absence. Life's demands and my own health have imposed such restrictions on my time and energy. I hope to be back more often in the near future. In the meantime thank you so much for reading my work.

Art "Fairy Window" By Gilbert Williams

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
There Is No Happiness, Only Moments Of Happiness"
Quote From A Spanish Proverb
Music Drifting Through Gates
By La Belle Rouge
there’re no fairytale endings
there is only perseverance
no happy-ever-afters exist
no, not here in the real world
only endurance, commitment
thus real love is an odd thing
it knows full well there will
never be any ideal situations
but regardless, love persists
it thrives in the midst of pain
stone garden benches in spring
and secluded summer beaches
are the places I often meet you
though you are not bodily there
your warm voice echoes through
winter storms outside my window
inviting me to create snow angels
in fields of my hellish blizzard
I cannot imagine life without you
nor separation from you in death
so love waits, it continues to hope
if flesh cannot touch, here, there
our souls have never been divided
nor shall they ever be far apart
you are here, I’m there, in all
spaces between the truth we know
in all the lifetimes past and future
we have already and will yet share
we are distant, but never absent
like music, drifting through gates
I like how this poem develops and draws in the reader. The first verse is inspiring because it's true to life and all the real hardships. It reminded me that no one seems to have it easy. From there the spirituality and beauty real come out. Love the ending.
You have a way of reaching in and grabbing the heart with your words. Obviously you're going through a lot and it's reflected in your poetry. I hope you're able to return to the seductive side very soon.
... and like music and truth, your words (ful)fill to the uttermost the undeniable knowing omnipresence of soulmate love. A perfect poetic utterance as if through the gates of heaven, Belle. xx
Fairy tale endings do not always exist for most...and the harsh reality is that hope is sometimes all we have...but in our hearts and in our dreams where love survives.
