It's Just Poetry, Word Flowetry

The Poet took a word, splashed it -- there --
onto the page.  She didn't care
what people might say.
She was going to have her way
no matter what.  She held creation in her hands.
A mighty weapon at her command,
the Poet wrote color in a world gone dark,
armed only with a pen.  A spark
of beauty began to shine --
hope and love and peace burst forth in her lines
of verse.  And when she was through,
she said, 'It's just poetry,
word flowetry,
that lets me do what I love to do.'

And we truly need far more color in this dark world, today.

Awesome poem! The pen is mightier than the sword, the poet creates life with the flick of a wrist. I love this piece. Think I'll print it and post it to the wall. Huge honor, you know:-)
