Weeks and weeks and weeks
of unending heat
and drought.: longer it
continues, hotter
it's getting --- maybe
the early days were
to prime the mind to
thinking it couldn't
possibly get worse
(but it has, it has) ----
records falling like
dominoes, lows and
highs surpassed by the
next day's; lack of rain
becoming a joke
that is not funny
anymore --- no one's
laughing. Ready to
crawl under a rock
and cry if we hear the
weatherman repeat
the forecast that has
been the same since time
began --- Hot. Dry. NO
relief in sight, in
the pattern or in
the electric or
water bills. Going
to have to take out
a loan to pay them.

| Parched earth looking skyward asking when. We have experienced many hot days in the Middle- Atlantic this season Karla. However we have received rain before it has had the chance to get ugly. Nothing like you have experienced in Texas this year. Wish I could send you a rainmaker my dear friend. Not a violent thunderstorm maker, just a rainmaker. I bid you love peace and hope for relief soon. Jon Michael |

We have green grass & trees surrounding us, as it rains regularly still...I may not enjoy NJ winters what with all the snow & cold and such, but at least this summer we have been having a halfway decent one...some extreme hot days, but nothing like what you guys have had to put up with...another month to September, maybe fall will come early, at least for you...Ed

| You can feel the urgency in the write and just keeps the reader in until the very end... When I looked at the title... a bit shock to see the verse is about the weather... Thanks for sharing... |

God, send rain and relief, PLEASE!! (If it's any consolation, by Tuesday, according to NOAA, the high is supposed to be NEAR 100 degrees. COLD FRONT! WHEE! :/ Some cold front ... LOL I am MORE than ready for winter!! ENOGUH already!) Great write but you're right: nobody's laughing; it's not funny anymore! Well done!
(((HUGS))) and much love, your twin, Karen Lynn. :/ |
