I stand here alone...Kissing yesterday a good-bye...I Loved you first...

Another Sunday about over

I stand here alone

On the edge of tomorrow

Kissing yesterday a good-bye

Every other Sunday

Is all I have of you?

I Loved you first

Each time you leave me

I run to the cliffs

Whispering to the sea

My Love

Will he come again?

The cool winds

Drift through my hair

The Seagulls

Become my only companions

Once more

My heart again in thoughts

Question his Love for me

For

I feel my heart whispering back to me

If he Love you so

Then why not let her go

A question

He will never let you know

You might be the first

Dare she hold a key to his heart?

He

Being caught in the middle

Loving you both

Oh, my, your words touch and stir my emotions with the pain of entangled relationships. Uncertainty in love brings with it such sorrow and such hurt.

"I stand here alone on the edge of tomorrow" reflects the knowledge of one who understands such tragedies of the heart. And your title "I Loved You First" bears witness to the agony of many a wife who feels abandoned.

Debra, you have shared with us a sad but powerful and lasting work.

With respect and admiration,
Richard

Sighhhhhh.....Love Is So Beautiful, yet can stir many things in us...we are imperfect..but love is perfect...This Is A Saddening Write of Emotional Entanglements because
love is not intended to hurt or harm, or cause pain...we sometimes need to love above our wants & needs enough to just say Good-Bye...
its hard to let go of something you want, but love comes around again in a different package, bigger & better & stronger...& Honoring

Debra ,you have written so beautifully of a difficullt situation which is all too common, and not easy to live with. Yet where love is concerned we find a way...ET

It is always a difficult situaton for all concerned when one party is loved by two and that love must be shared. Whether this refers to a child (which I have had experience with) being caught between a mother and a father or perhaps a lover in a three way love triangle...either way there is bound to be pain.
