Standing on the edge of nowhere
Time stands still
The Sun slip through the clouds
Awe’ I am thirsty
Waiting for a droplet of rain
To quench my lips
Parched from the Sun
I am destined to decay
In hunger and thirst
Left here alone I say
I raise my head in prayer
With my last bit of strength
Anyone I say hears me
I cry out begging deliverance
I must be hallucinating
A gentle breeze
Drift right through me
It feels so sweet
Awe’ and the beautiful Butterflies
Lift me
As if I were a feather
I wonder
If they gather
To take me home
