I drift a stray...Never understanding...
I feel like a petal...a scent...That draws the wolves in hunger...

I close my eyes

To feel the warmth of Heaven

A Dove delivers me

Gods’ embrace

Oh’ God

Thank you for this splendor

For

Blessing me with your Love

Touching my heart

For

From time to time

I drift a stray

Yearning to know why

Never understanding

I feel like a petal

With a scent

That draws the wolves in hunger

I forget who I am in the moment

Rendering myself a delight

Fulfilling the hunger which maddens me

I don’t know what Love is

I only feel it in your embrace

Forgiving me of thy sin

What a beautiful expression of the God's love in 'A Dove Delivers Me'!
How true that we really don't know what love is till we begin to comprehend Him. This poem moves me to praise our Lord.

I don’t know what Love is....I only feel it in your embrace...
Dear Debra...Yes, how right you are...we don`t know what love is until we feel His love, His deep abiding love...it`s only then we can truly love, as He loves. Beautifully written prose...from the heart!

God Bless
Love, Lena

That is the way God should be...not a condemming diety but one who understands our human fralities and weaknesses...after all did he not create them in us.
