Wrought its ghost upon the floor...Upon the rustling of the purple plains...Nameless for evermore...Be not startled at the stillness...Broken in reply...

Good Evening

Long time my friend

Wait

Don’t leave me yet

I’ve only one request

A few lines of Edgar

" The Raven"

Tis’ a night to hear

Though the midnight not dreary

For

I ponder early

Ah’ I remember it was in a bleak December

Each of the separately dying embers

Wrought its ghost upon the floor

I am not Lenore

Though a rare radiant maiden once

Who walks with the Angels?

Upon the rustling of the purple plains

Nameless for evermore

Thrilled you’ve come

Let my heart no more

Be still in a moment

Tis’ the wind and nothing more

Be not startled at the stillness

Broken in reply

God hath the Angels

Knocking on the Chamber door

Excuse me now

I must go

Come back again once more

E x c e l l e n t -- both on its own and as a kind of ode re Poe! I am a great admirer of his. When an aunt on my father's side told me that my grandmother's mother was a Poe [related, yes], I went ape! [All right, I was already in the park. Let's just say I was thrilled. To shed that much like on Darkness. . .I should be so lucky!!} Thank you for sharing this gem!! <3 'Pea' <3
