Yet she hears the whispers...Sounds that come and go...Echoes so close...In a rage...

In the moment

She hears another Caged Bird cry

Just like she in a padded room

Yet she hears the whispers

Familiar so many times

Sounds that come and go

Echoes so close

In a rage

Another Bird dancing in its own fear

Listen, she whispers in the night

Sanity is coming

The hallways turn dark

Only a dim light

Not that of a star

The Cage Birds are sedated now

The demons inside are but resting

Beautiful Morning To You Debra,
Love is never to be held captive behind restraints...your beautiful voice gives life to the silence of those who suffer within the cages seeking the sanity of freedoms
I really enjoyed the verse of this poetic expression...like a haunting clue....lingering within...very nicely done

Enjoyed this one and empathized with it, for anyone who has spent time in a phsch ward (as I have) knows these feelings all too well. The times are changing but the feelings often are the same. well done Deb
