The Ballet

Fifth position,
one of the hardest
to achieve.

Much like love this
is, as the feet twist
slightly as the soul
moves slowly.

Feel the music.

Plie and battement
into arabesque.

Feel life and soul
move through limb
extended.

Adagio at first
and the tempo
gathers.

Chasse as adagio
moves into allegro,
and love’s heartbeat
quickens.

Chaine to arabesque.

Bourree and the heart
soars upon the wings
of love!

Jete

Glissade

Passe

Tour en l’air to rond
de jambe! The soul
is caught up in the
whirlwind of blissful
love as the heart sings
its chorus.

Yet, even now the
music must end,
as much love.

As the music halts
and the heart does
stop, forth position
with fingers reaching
for the heavens.

The hardest things to achieve also bring the greatest joy.

Life is a compulsive dancer. We must always dance to the tune, no matter what it is.

I once wrote a poem "Compulsive Dancer", not sure if it is with this ID or my Sandie May Angel's ID; but you can check on both to read the poem.
