Train

Mountains shake their muscular hips,
domes of anthills crack at their heels,

foliages fall from their frills,
walls rattle their spent bones

as a train rumbles
down its trail,

yet the grinding teeth of the train
is not mere antics or babbles of the angry.

It is the groan from a strong heart,
the moan of courage,

a warrior’s heartbeat in the furrows
of life’s arduous journey,

the thumping heels of a brave pilgrim
trying to outrun distractions.

Only to find that it's everywhere,
sad indeed, George!
