Always One
Curled contently in a sleeping bag
Fireflies of sparks rising in the night
Your arms holding me so close
Making my world seem, oh, so right
The mountain night serenades us
Canyon breezes and a far off train
Crickets and coyotes join the song
Rustling leaves sound like rain
Relaxing in each other’s arms
We surrender to the peace
Not wanting sleep to come
Relishing this sweet release
Unbuttoning your flannel shirt
Laying my cheek upon your chest
I can feel the temperature rising
As you gently toy my breast
As warm pants get discarded
Tender kisses set the pace
I’m wet and its not just sweat
Reveling in this sweet embrace
The night has given rise
Your strength is in full bloom
I want to feel your weight
My body to consume
Becoming one with nature
Beneath the stars and drifting clouds
Our only clock the setting moon
Darkness our only shroud
Sleep comes and hours pass
Awakening to the morning dew
We know how to warm the chill
And with dawn’s fingers, we do
