Thinking about Jon Willey’s oak roll top desk……

Funny how each and every day,
A lot of mail does come my way.
Some I throw just right away,
Some I open another day.

Some require immediate action,
Always gives me satisfaction.
To resolve the issue,
With one transaction.

But there is an area some would call a pile,
But not for me because you see,
That to me is my "current" file.

I do have a cabinet in which to store,
But only after six months or more.
Poor Jon, he has to open and close,
His lady keeps him on his toes.

Mine? Exposed until I decide,
I need a clean place for new files to reside.
And it's not a matter for neatness statistics,
It's simply a matter of logistics.

a beautiful desk, unused Walt! -- where are all of the wonderful notes on scraps of paper and napkins and the envelopes stuffed to retain an address you dare not lose? -- organization is far too easy and provides no challenge -- I have lived on both sides of that mountain -- order and arrangement, stifles my imagination -- I used to employ the old A, B, and C prioritizing methodology for my mail pile -- A, demanded immediate action -- B, could be dealt with at a later date -- C was trashed immediately -- anything in the B pile not processed within a week, went into the C pile! -- love your poem and your desk Walt - even though the desk has not been properly seasoned with the accumulation of a normal male's, mess! -- my wife would love your desk and neatness-- much love and peace too you my dear friend -- Jon Michael

Oh how I have always has such a fascination with those old roll top desks, always wishing I get one, but never have. Just the mere presence in a room holds such majestic esteem. Like your organizational skills too...

Be always safe,
Karen

There most be a lot of places to hide old Super Bowl, bended thumbtacks, and many other things, among them, old unpaid bills!
