I Knew You When

I knew you when -
we dreamed
and
we laughed,
and we talked
and we hoped
and we built up and gave secrets.

I knew you when
you were only a somebody
to a select few,
but most especially in your own mind.
Yes,
I knew you when --

you needed
me.

Isn't that the truth... Everyone knew us "when".... but where are they when we need THEM? Good writing. lindalaw

Melancholy, sad, a touch of bitterness.....well written Nan......I pray you find peace with this......
