OH!
the lies he gave me to make me let him go!
the deceiving, twisted, contradicting lies,
to keep me from the truth.
he couldn't bear to admit his wrong,
or lose me altogether,
his ego wouldn't allow someone to hate him,
to know the truth about him.
he needed to keep me hanging,
thinking he cared,
thinking he loved,
to ease his conscience while he slipped away.
but, because he lied,
he slipped instead and fell into stupid mistakes,
so truth was obvious as the sun in the sky
and if she knew the truth as I do,
would she, too,
become bitter?
