Danger to Myself

This is a poem taken from the last page of my new non-fiction, soon to be released called: LOVE BEYOND INNOCENCE

Danger to Myself

I am but a danger to myself to watch the eyes who watches me.
I can't blame them, I am a lovely white dove.
With promised passions.
Flourishing with an abundance of beauty.
I am able to fly above the very souls who desire me.
I know that I am not as lovely to my own eyes.
I am but, a danger to myself to think why?
I am not capable of loving myself.
I feel as unloved as the darkness feels.
When the sun passes over the moon.
And buries itself beneath the earth's clay.
Hidden below the hard pieces of its surface.
I am hungry for a touch that is unrelenting.
Yet, I cannot endure.
I disappear into the dark womb of my mind.
Thinking of ways that I am a danger to myself.

Powerful description of depression. My "White Rose Bud" was on this subject. Another fine job of description. Thank you for sharing your soul with us.

Dear Kathryn,

The poem on your last page of your upcoming book makes me wonder who you have written about previously. I would like to know more about your book. If possible, please send me a message.

Thank you,
Sharon

Wow! The majority of people probably feel that way about themselves. We seem to be almost incapable of appreciating or loving ourselves, and yet to others we are much more. Few people on this earth could have penned those thoughts and emotions as eloquently as you. Thanks for sharing. Hugs, Glen
