This is a poem that was written for and is included in my new fiction coming this summer called (DESIRE)

The Willow

Follow me into the corners of my mind,

Where there is a Willow Tree

Planted beneath, where the sun won’t shine

It knows the road to the pathway to my heart,

Where all of my dreams, start

 And fade away in yesterdays

They are my Willow Trees…

Guiding me to the place to find me

Before I am pushed away from

Dreams and aspirations,

Often showing images of what is to be

I…want…to…be…free!

From the place in my mind

Where the sun won’t shine

I want tomorrow to find me

Scratching a surface

Punning out the pain in my heart

Where grows sadness beneath the Willow.

Nice imagery presented here. It beckons the imagination to wander to a Willow tree.

Loved to play under the willow tree in my youth and when it was so hot out. Still admire the willow trees when driving by in the car and wishing I could stop to rest under them a while and be free as you said. No sadness for me beneath the old willow tree.
