[Extrapolated from my novel: Enigma of the Second Coming: "A voyage from within and without, this novel transports us to the frontiers of an existence that knows no frontiers, where physics and metaphysics merge into a timeless, seamless whole. Enigma..." Jeremy Garwood, Ph.D., writer]

Forever flowing Shiva’s lustrous, embracing hair,
stirring currents of life, washing o’er planet Earth...
Stretching ever above us, in endless, glorious display,
flows holy Bed of Ganges––or our own Milky Way…
Glittering with myriad diamonds, teeming with silvery fish
running away from the hook of the sharp, evanescent Moon.
Celestial River replete with nostalgia that is here to stay.
Chinese call it Tien Ho––that’s our Milky Way…
The Arabs called it Al Nahr. The Hebrews N,her di Nur.
The Polynesians saw a great shark devouring arcane clouds
spread over the endless ocean––though up above it lay,
inviting us to journey––along the Milky Way…
The Anlo-Saxons worshipped the sacred Straet of Waetlana.
The Vikings––the Path of Odin, the glorious Wuotanes Weg.
Vronelden Straet of the Dutch, veils in flowing display,
walking towards nuptial altar––along our Milky Way.
Galaxias Kuklos it was, to the wise, ancient Greeks.
The Indians, saw Giant Turtle roiling the waters above.
The Romans saw Via Lactis. And their name’s here to stay.
The Melkpath of Frieslanders––is our Milky Way.
